50 Cent Defends Relentless Trolling Of Diddy: ‘I’ve Been Saying [This] For 10 Years’

50 Cent has been consistent in his trolling of Diddy for years, and the Bad Boy mogul’s arrest last month on sex trafficking and racketeering charges certainly hasn’t made him change his tune.

The G-Unit general defended his history of Diddy antagonism to People in an article published on Monday (October 21).

“Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t. It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years,” he explained.

The People article dates the beginning of the 50/Diddy antagonism to 50’s 2006 mixtape freestyle over the beat for Dead Prez’ “Hip Hop” — a track known alternately as “The Bomb” and “Hip Hop.”

On the song, 50 spits that “Puffy knows” who killed The Notorious B.I.G., and spends much of the outro dissing Diddy, including taunting him by saying: “Why you want to make me tell everybody what [Diddy’s ex] Misa [Hylton] told me?”

50 is in the process of monetizing his longtime rivalry, as he sold a documentary about Diddy to Netflix this past spring.

After months of hyping up the series, the multi-part documentary about the Bad Boy bass’s alleged sexual assault and sex trafficking landed a home at Netflix in May.

According to TMZ, who released their own documentary about the embattled mogul on Tubi, there was a fierce bidding war for the documentary, which is being made by G-Unit Film and Television Studios.

Late last month, Variety confirmed that Alexandria Stapleton has signed on to direct the multi-part docuseries.

In a joint statement, 50 and Stapleton said: “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far. We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

While the news hit the trades, 50 continued his trolling on social media, posting a bottle of baby oil that was renamed to ‘Diddy Oil’ and captioning the pic: “Coming soon! LOL.”

Fif’s shot is in reference to details that were revealed in a press conference and a detention memo, in which federal authorities laid out their findings.

The government said that among the physical evidence discovered during raids (as well as searches of Diddy and “certain of his co-conspirators”) was “evidence of Freak Offs, including over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and personal lubricant.”
